Company History
Childhood friends and Texas natives Paul Taskalos and Weston Hull started Vault Aviation in Dallas, Texas, in 2015, by arranging private flights for celebrities, athletes, and business people.
While Hull previously worked for a sports agency that represented professional sportsmen, Taskalos practiced law in Houston. Hull joined the private jet sector after he was completely enamored by it, but also saw flaws that he thought could be enhanced.
When these two old pals got back together on a golf vacation, they did some quick brainstorming and came up with a business idea to start an on-demand private jet charter service for VIP clientele. Taskalos officially registered Vault Aviation the next day.
They began booking flights from Hull’s modest Dallas apartment in October of 2015. The previously one-man operation expanded to employ two people and set up shop in the St. Paul Place skyscraper.
In 2016, Vault Aviation’s first full year in business, the company completed 300 flight bookings. Now, they have 7 executive team members and other employees.
On-Demand Charter Flight
Booking a flight is a straightforward process. A customer contacts Vault Aviation through phone or email stating their need for air transportation. Depending on the time of day, Vault Aviation contacts anywhere from five to ten private jet firms from its network to check all available flights.
As a result, every flight becomes its own mini-market in which charter planes try to outdo one another. The Vault Aviation team selects the perfect charter based on the client’s preferences at the most affordable price, which is paid on a trip-by-trip basis. Word-of-mouth does the rest, which is how their clientele continually grows.
Company Card Program
The main benefit clients get with the jet card program, known as the Max Jet Card, is discounted rates. Because the goal of the program is to provide an on-demand price below the fixed hourly price of a particular charter, if the cost happens to be higher due to whatever reason, cardholders are protected with guaranteed prices.
Other benefits include guaranteed availability, free cabin class upgrades, no blackout dates, and many more.
Rates for the MAX Jet Card
The following MAX Jet Card fees are the highest possible hourly rates for cardholders. The listed prices already include the payment of all applicable taxes and levies, including the federal excise tax (FET) of 7.5% .
Light Jet – $6,495, 6 pax guaranteed, up to 3.5 hour nonstop.
Midsize Jet – $7,895, 7 pax garanteed, up to 5 hours nonstop.
Super-Midsize Jet – $8,995, 8 pax guaranteed, up to 7 hours nonstop. Flight attendant upon request.

The Fleet

Vault Aviation acts as an intermediary between their clientele and the many air charter services available. They only work with transportation companies that have obtained certificates from the Federal Aviation Administration and are in good standing with the Department of Transportation of the United States.
Vault Aviation provides a vast range of on-demand private jet charters available for their clients to choose from. Let’s see what’s on offer.
1. Turboprops
Turboprop aircraft provide transport to inaccessible places that don’t have a large airport in the immediate surroundings. Turboprops can land on airstrips that are as short as 2,500 feet and, together with light jets, are the only two aircraft types that can land on very short runways.
Even though luxury isn’t often something that comes to mind when thinking about turboprops, modern versions like the King Air 350 and the Pilatus PC-12 feature cabin interiors that are on par in size and quality with those of small jet aircraft. When it comes to private charters, turboprops are frequently the most cost-efficient alternative.
Our Recommendation: King Air 200
When it comes to twin-turboprop aircraft, Beechcraft has everything covered with the King Air family. The King Air line-up includes many models that have been split into two families: the Model 90 and 100 lines are named King Airs, while the Model 200 and 300 series were initially labeled as Super King Airs.
The plane’s T-shaped horizontal stabilizer makes it very stable in flight. In addition to its smooth ride, passengers can enjoy a quieter cabin.

- Passengers: 6;
- Cabin height: 4 ft 10 in;
- Cabin length: 16 ft 8 in;
- Cabin width: 4 ft 6 in;

- Engines: 2;
- Crew: 2.
Other available turboprops in the Vault Aviation aircraft catalog are King Air 90/100/350, Pilatus PC-12, and TBM 850.
2. Light Private Jets
Light jets are another popular aircraft among private flyers, especially for shorter trips and accessing shorter runways. Other reasons for their popularity are their affordability, good passenger capacity, and speed. Luxury and cutting-edge technology are also accessible on more recent models that were previously only found on bigger, more costly private jets.
Our Recommendation: Citation Encore
Cessna’s Citation V series is an extension of their popular Citation II line, which includes the Ultra, Encore, and Encore+. Deliveries of the Citation Encore began in 2001, after its 1998 introduction. Two engines provide thrust for the Citation Encore and the light jet can go 1700 nautical miles on a single tank of gas. Improvements include less fuel capacity due to space for the landing gear, soft landing, and trailing link, which required a smaller fuel tank. There are seven seats and one belted bathroom in the cabin.
Specifications:
- Passengers: 7;
- Exterior height: 15 ft;
- Full length: 48 ft 11 in;
- Wing span: 52 ft 2 in;
- Rate of climb: 4740 fpm
- External baggage space: 43 cu ft;
- Internal baggage space: 28 cu ft;

Other available light jets in the Vault Aviation aircraft catalog are Citation CJ2/CJ3/CJ4, Citation V/Ultra/Bravo, Hawker 400XP, BeechJet 400, and Learjet 31/40XR.
3. Midsize Private Jets
When compared to a light jet, a midsize jet provides superior performance in each of the three most important categories to flyers – room, speed, and range. Many of the aircraft in this category provide coast-to-coast range, Wi-Fi connectivity on board, and plenty of other amenities. Midsize aircraft continue to be an economical alternative for private travelers who are looking for the whole package of comfort and luxury in combination with speed and range.
Our Recommendation: Hawker 900XP
In 2007, Hawker released the Hawker 900XP, a derivative of the earlier Hawker 850XP. The Hawker 900XP is a refined version of the Model 850XP, with enhanced fuel usage, maneuverability, and capability. New winglets shorten the takeoff and landing distance. This plane can go 2,733 nautical miles (nm) on a full tank of gas thanks to its two powerful engines which can provide 4,660 lb of torque.
There is an LCD lighting system, touch-screen passenger controls, ample of in-cabin space, and standing headroom.
Specifications:
- Passengers: 8;
- Exterior height: 18 ft 1 in;
- Full length: 51 ft 2 in;
- Wing span: 54 ft 4 in;
- Rate of climb: 3,415 fpm;
- Cabin height: 5 ft 9 in;
- Cabin length: 21 ft 4 in;
- Cabin width: 6 ft;
- Internal baggage space: 50 cu ft;
- Max flight range: 2929 nm;
- Max cruise speed: 452 kts;
- Engines: 2;
- Crew: 2.
Other midsize jets available in the Vault Aviation aircraft catalog are Hawker 800XP, Learjet 45/55/60, Phenom 300, Gulfstream G-100/G-150, Citation Excel /XLS, and Citation III/VI/VII.
4. Super-Midsize
Super-midsize planes have a remarkable range, spacious cabins, and excellent capacity for luggage. The super-mid seat is the most comfortable option for cross-country journeys and extended overseas trips. Wi-Fi and in-cabin entertainment systems are typically provided at no additional cost, including plenty of other amenities.
The super-midsize category is quickly becoming the go-to choice for flyers who are searching for the ideal combination of high-end performance and luxury without paying the exorbitant prices associated with ultra-high-end aircraft.
Our Recommendation: Hawker 1000
The Hawker Series 1000 is a long-range variant of the 800 Model with more fuel. This private jet is one of a kind since it may be purchased in either a conventional or biomorphic form. The rounded, biomorphic shape is meant to improve travelers’ experiences and make better use of the available space. The new quieter engine design expels its exhaust at a reduced velocity, reducing noise. Although it was initially weak, it has found widespread use all over the world.
Specifications:
- Passengers: 8;
- Exterior height: 17 ft 1 in;
- Full length: 52 ft 9 in;
- Wing span: 51 ft 4 in;
- Rate of climb: 3,577 fpm;

5. Large Private Jets
Within the realm of private aviation, heavy cabin jets are held to be the industry standard of excellence. They are the subject of rap songs, selfies taken by celebrities, and economic transactions worth billions of dollars.
Heavy cabin jets are fit to be your home in the sky due to their size, range, and level of luxury all rolled into one package. The cabins are typically spacious and designed to accommodate passengers standing up. Some big cabin aircraft include what are known as “split cabins,” which are designed to separate the main cabin from a private space that often contains a bed. Some of them even have full size showers on board.
Our Recommendation: Legacy 600
The cabin can accommodate up to 14 passengers, and it features the segment’s biggest lavatory and largest in-flight accessible luggage storage. Together, these features create a very valuable airplane that’s ready to take on any obstacle it may face.
Specifications:
- Passengers: 14;
- Exterior height: 22 ft 2 in;
- Full length: 86 ft 5 in;
- Wing span: 69 ft 5 in;
