Singapore to Bangkok: Overview
Singapore and Bangkok are pretty close to one another, but it’s still more than a 24-hour drive by car, assuming that you’d stop to rest from time to time. The aerial distance between the two cities is about 888 miles, and a bit over 1,100 miles by road, so expect to spend some 2 hours in the air when traveling from Singapore to Bangkok. A turboprop jet might be slower, but it’s also a more lucrative option if you don’t mind the extra hour of flying.
The price to travel between the two major cities depends mostly on the type and model of the jet you’ll choose. But generally speaking, it’s gonna cost you at least $20,000 for a turboprop or light jet, while the upper limit for a heavy jet and a new model can reach up to $50,000, easily.
Also, note that you’ll be flying from and landing at an FBO (fixed-base operator), which represents a private terminal or a lounge where private flyers can relax before their jet takes off or after they land, without waiting in long lines like you normally would for a commercial flight.

As I mentioned before, prices depend on many variables and they’re not always easy to track. Moreover, some routes are more popular than others, so the companies don’t always have the whole fleet at their disposal.
For the purpose of this article, I’ve been using data from The Aviation Factory, since most other companies, like Luna Jets and WheelsUp, won’t give you a flight price estimate, unless you specifically request a quote.
I’m also considering Private Fly, but mostly for concrete jet models. So, this is how things stand right now regarding prices, based on the jet type, according to The Aviation Factory.

There are a couple of things that you should bear in mind regarding these prices. First of all, you’ve probably noticed that renting a light jet is far more expensive than renting a heavy jet, and that doesn’t really make sense for a lot of people.
However, know that whenever you have this type of situation, the smaller but more expensive jet is probably a newer and more comfortable model, meaning it has a wider cabin, comfortable seatings, and so on. Unfortunately, The Aviation Factory doesn’t provide us with data on the jet models, so you’ll have to contact the company to find out more details.
Singapore to Bangkok Airports
As a private flyer, you’re not interested in commercial airports, but rather private terminals and FBOs. However, all of the private flying hubs are located either within the building of the commercial airports or their surroundings.
The city-state of Singapore and one of the most densely populated spots on Earth is served by three airports. Two of them have a pretty decent choice of private terminals, while the third one, called Paya Lebar, serves as the state’s military base and is not suitable for civil flights.
From Singapore Seletar Airport to Bangkok
The Seletar Airport is located in the northern part of the city and is the leading airport in terms of FBOs and private terminals in the area. It’s very easy to reach, just like everything in Singapore due to the compact size of the city and perfect public transportation.
To begin with, Seletar Airport itself is well prepared for VIP guests and represents a hub for private jets as well. Its Business Aviation Centre will provide you with the best services and ground handling you might need.
Other than the airport itself, there are plenty of FBOs nearby. For example, you can choose to fly with Signature Flight Support, Jetex, Universal Aviation, or Jet Aviation. All of the listed FBOs are remarkable, offering high-class services for their most important clients. Cozy lounges and well-equipped conference rooms are what you should expect at any of the private terminals.
From Singapore Changi to Bangkok
Singapore Changi Airport is not as rich with private terminals as Seletar. This airport is located on the most eastern spot of the main island, but it’s also pretty easy to reach. If you’re going by car, you’ll need about 20 minutes from Singapore’s central point.
Even though there aren’t a lot of private terminals near Changi, you have the reliable Signature Flight Support that runs an FBO nearby. This private terminal is just as good as the one located near Seletar Airport, so whichever one you choose, you’ll get VIP service and first-class facilities.
Bangkok Airports
Bangkok City, the capital of Thailand, has two main international airports – Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airport, and more than enough FBOs in their surroundings.
Most of the private terminals you could use are located near Don Mueang. Some charter companies, airlines, or FBOs serving private passengers in the area are the ASA Group and M Jets.
Which Planes Can You Fly to Bangkok from Each Category?
We discussed earlier how different size jets have different price tags when it comes to renting. This chapter is going to be a bit different, as we’re going to peek into the jet models from each category and recommend some great options.
In the chapter above, I used data from The Aviation Factory. In this one, we’re going to see how things are looking with Private Fly.
Small and Midsize Jets (Turboprops, Light Jets, and Midsize Jets)
A turboprop or a light jet is your most budget-friendly option, at least most models are. For this purpose, Private Fly offers the Beech BE350 KingAir which can take up to eight people, and needs some 3 hours to fly from Singapore to Bangkok. The price to pay for this jet is some $33,000.
On the other hand, you can consider a bit of a faster option, that one being the Pilatus PC-12 which can fit six people, but land in Bangkok a few minutes earlier than the BE350. The hiring price of this jet is around $60,000.
There are, of course, midsize jets at your disposal as well. The one that I would sincerely recommend is the Hawker 800 which can be yours to rent for only around $22,000. This jet can pack eight people and only needs 2 hours to reach Bangkok.
Another option, a bit fancier, is the Citation Latitude. You can rent this ultra-modern jet for some $67,000, and it will welcome on board a party of eight people. This jet also needs exactly two hours to cover this route.
However, if you want to take the game a level higher, consider a super-midsize jet. Such an example would be the marvelous Gulfstream G200. The jet costs around $45,000 to rent and needs 1 hour and 52 minutes to get to Bangkok. The maximum seating capacity is eight.
Heavy Jets
Flying by heavy jet means that you’ll have more comfort, more luggage, and leg space, and at the end of the day, you’ll be more stable up in the air.
For example, take a look at the Bombardier Global 5000. The genius piece of engineering that you could rent for some $44,000 can take 12 more people on board. Heavy jets are not necessarily faster, but this one will fly from Singapore to Bangkok in 1 hour and 47 minutes.
Another choice would be the Gulfstream G550. This is not a very cheap option, costing around $77,000, but I believe it owns one of the best jet designs ever. The slick-looking jet can welcome a maximum of 15 people on board and get you to Bangkok in 1 hour and 49 minutes.
The final recommendation I’d like to give is for those willing to reach deeper into their pockets. The plane in question is the Bombardier Global Express XRS which can be yours for the day for some $90,500. It can fit a maximum of 14 people, as you can expect to reach Bangkok in 1 hour and 47 minutes.
