3. India Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, India, DEL
The single airport that services the city of New Delhi is the Delhi Airport (DEL), also referred to as the Indira Gandhi International Airport and IGI Airport. In terms of both the number of passengers and the amount of cargo that passes through it, this airport is India’s busiest.
It’s situated in Palam, 16 kilometres away from the central business district of New Delhi and 15 kilometres to the southwest of the New Delhi train station.
The outbreak of coronavirus in 2020 resulted in a significant drop in the number of passengers handled at Delhi Airport, which was 28,5 million. Between April 2021 and March 2022, however, the total number of passengers that passed through Delhi Airport was 39,34 million.
If the number of passengers using the airport keeps rising, there are plans in place to keep expanding it.
How to Get There
Passengers can get to the airport using the metro in Delhi. The Airport Express Route, often known as the “Orange” line, links Dwarka Sector 21 to the New Delhi Railway Station, in addition to providing access to the airport.
Other means of public transport available to Gandhi airport are bus and rail lines.
The state’s bus system is the most widely utilised public transportation. Both public buses operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and private buses operated by independent contractors are available to passengers. It’s, however, not the ideal option to get to the airport for those who carry luggage with them because these buses tend to be crowded.
Car Rentals
Travellers must be 21 years old and have their licence for at least a year in order to rent a car in India. This can be done at the airport’s T1 Meet & Greet location where Europcar is situated.
Taxi
Passengers arriving at Delhi Airport can also take a cab to the city centre. The taxi ride is around thirty minutes; although, the traffic conditions in India are complex. It’s important to take this into account.
Taxis can be hired with either a prepayment or with a metre way of payment. We strongly recommend taking a cab that requires prepayment and collect the ticket at the taxi counter.
If you want to avoid becoming a victim of a scam, it’s recommended that you take a cab from the counter that is located inside the airport grounds.

In addition, there are several major highways in the region around the airport. You might ask a native for assistance to go to Guangzhou without any detours.
Taxi
The cab travel from Guangzhou Airport to the central business district of the city typically takes twenty-five minutes.
If you are not familiar with the buses or the metro, it may be a good idea to take a taxi rather than attempt to utilise the public transportation systems there. Traffic congestion is not an issue in Guangzhou, unlike in Beijing or Hong Kong.
