Although founded in 1833, Dubai has only, in the past 60 years, become the city we know today. It boasts impressive architectural feats, including the Burj Khalifa (the world’s tallest building) and The Palm Jumeirah (an island complex that can be seen from space).
Dubai initially rose to fame because of its oil reserves. Nowadays, it’s more famous for being a mecca of luxury entertainment; from indoor ski resorts and underwater restaurants to fantastic shopping malls, Dubai has it all.
If you’re looking to take a private jet over to Dubai, I’ve detailed eight popular routes:
Let’s take a closer look at these popular private jet charters to Dubai.
Topics
1. Doha to Dubai
Doha is a seven-hour drive from Dubai, but you can get there in less than an hour in a private jet. Doha is a tourist destination in its own right and serves as Qatar’s central business hub. Since they’re so close, many people like to visit both cities in one trip.
The most economical option here is the light jet costing 62,033 AED (61,491 QAR / £15,378). Best of all, it’s the quickest option and only takes 45 mins.
Doha to Dubai: Pricing Options
It’s hard to ignore the economy and speed of the light jet. However, if you prefer a scenic ride, a turboprop is also a good choice.
The prices below are based on the AirShare rates. Note that other private charter companies might have lower or higher prices, depending on the company.
Aircraft Type | No of passengers | Price | Estimated flight time |
Turboprop | 4- 19 | 66,356 AED (65,776 QAR / £16,450) | 1 h 05 min |
Light Jet | 4 – 11 | 62,033 AED (61,491 QAR / £15,378) | 45 min |

Heavy Jet | 6 – 96 | 139,125 AED (137,910 QAR / £34,490) | 50 min |
Doha to Dubai: Airport Options
Doha is not a large city, so only one airport is available for your private jet charters to Dubai. It sits on the waterside just southeast of the city centre, so it’s conveniently placed for quick transit.
Hamad International Airport (DOH)
You can reach Hamad International within 30 minutes of the city centre.
Once in the airport, you will find plenty of VIP services, namely from Qatar Air – a renowned high-quality airline company headquartered here. The airport also has VIP services and facilities, such as a concierge service and executive lounges.
Four FBOs operate onsite, two of which are operated by Qatar Air:
2. Riyadh to Dubai
The Capital of Saudi Arabia and Dubai are close neighbours and share crucial business, political, and cultural ties. Therefore, it’s very common to see private jet charters arranged between the two cities.
The journey can take as little as 1 hour and 25 minutes if you choose a light jet, costing 103,299 AED (105,718 SAR / £25,608); this is the cheapest option.
Riyadh to Dubai: Pricing Options
Like the Doha route, a light jet is the best choice for your trip from Riyadh. A turboprop is also a great choice, but it does take significantly longer.
The prices below are based on the AirShare rates. Note that other private charter companies might have lower or higher prices, depending on the company.
Aircraft Type | No of passengers | Price | Estimated flight time |
Turboprop | 4- 19 | 118,079 AED (120,844 SAR / £29,272) | 2 h |

Heavy Jet | 6 – 96 | 172,138 AED (176,169 SAR / £42,674 | 1 h 30 mins |
Riyadh to Dubai: Airport Options
King Khalid International is the airport that serves Riyadh and is situated 35 km north of the city.
King Khalid International (KUH)
From the city centre, a taxi will take about 40 minutes. You also have the option to arrange private SUV shuttle services or a helicopter transfer.
Terminal 5 is the one you will use for your private jet charters to Dubai. There is also a royal terminal reserved exclusively for heads of state and members of the Saudi royal family.
Plenty of VIP services can be arranged in Riyadh International, including the dedicated company Mazaya which will take care of your needs. Five FBOs here can either organise your private charter or provide you with ground services:
- Jet Aviation
- Location Flight Services
- Access Flight Support
- Saudia Private Aviation
- Saudi Ground Services
3. Mumbai to Dubai
Mumbai is the finance and commercial capital of India. This essential and densely-populated city has significant business ties with Dubai, which makes it one of the most popular private jet routes to Dubai.
You can reach Dubai in around three hours. There’s not much difference in time between the light, midsize, and heavy jets, although, at 185,361 AED (4,153,306 INR / £45,952), the light jet is the cheapest option.
Mumbai to Dubai: Pricing Options
Choose the light jet for this route as the most economical choice unless you’re travelling with others or have a lot of luggage to transport.
The prices below are based on the AirShare rates. Note that other private charter companies might have lower or higher prices, depending on the company.
Aircraft Type | No of passengers | Price | Estimated flight time |
Turboprop | 4- 19 | – | – |

Mumbai to Dubai: Airport Options
Mumbai has an incredible 93.5 million people living there, yet it only has one airport known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, also referred to as Santa Cruz Airport or Kalina Airport.
For such a populated and busy city, it may surprise you to know that it only takes about half an hour to reach the airport from downtown Mumbai. You can arrange a helicopter shuttle service if you are elsewhere in the city.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM)
There are three terminals at Mumbai International. Terminals 1 and 2 are for commercial flights, while the general aviation terminal is reserved exclusively for private flight charters. The private terminal is run by General Aviation and has a full range of high-quality services at your disposal, including completely arranging your flight to Dubai.
Two FBOs are also available, so if you prefer, you can use their facilities instead:
4. Venice to Dubai
Venice, the city built upon water, provides an escape from the desert heat and the chance to soak up vast amounts of culture. This unique city has everything you need for a city break, and when you’re ready to head back to Dubai, your private jet can be arranged.
The flight takes about five and a half hours and is best served on a midsize jet. The price for this route on a midsize aircraft is 437,065 AED (€122,507).
Venice to Dubai: Pricing Options
You’ll note that while the light jet is listed as an option, it does not have the range to accommodate the flight in one go. Therefore, the extra flight time and high cost are due to the necessary refuelling stop.
The prices below are based on the AirShare rates. Note that other private charter companies might have lower or higher prices, depending on the company.
Aircraft Type | No of passengers | Price | Estimated flight time |
Turboprop | 4- 19 | – | – |
Light Jet | 4 – 11 | 396,462 AED (€111,126) | 8 h + |

Heavy Jet | 6 – 96 | 650,916 AED (€182,448) | 5 h 30 min |
Venice to Dubai: Airport Options
Marco Polo airport is named after the famous Venetian explorer and writer. You will find it waterside to the north of Venice. Due to the city’s limited space, the airport is relatively small.
Marco Polo Airport (VCE)
A public shuttle service will get you from downtown to the airport in less than half an hour. Keep in mind that Venice is mostly car-free, so if you want a private transfer, a water taxi is fast and efficient (and fun!).
Once at the airport, you can enjoy the private club lounge with luxury amenities. Three onsite FBOs are on standby to arrange your private jet charters to Dubai.
5. Bangkok to Dubai
The capital of Thailand is the gateway to the country’s numerous exclusive tropical beach resorts and islands. The city is also one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent business hubs.
The flight from Bangkok to Dubai is longer than the previous routes. Taking about six and a half hours on average, you will need a midsize or heavy jet for the job. For the midsize plane, you can expect to pay around 473,280 AED (4,902,782 THB / £117,329).
Bangkok to Dubai: Pricing Options
Choose the midsize jet if you’re traveling with a smaller party, whereas a heavy jet will be more up to the job if you’re transporting many items and/or people.
The prices below are based on the AirShare rates. Note that other private charter companies might have lower or higher prices, depending on the company.
Aircraft Type | No of passengers | Price | Estimated flight time |
Turboprop | 4- 19 | – | – |
Light Jet | 4 – 11 | – | – |
Midsize Jet | 6 – 10 | 473,280 AED (4,902,782 THB / £117,329) | 6 h 45 mins |
Heavy Jet | 6 – 96 | 700,345 AED (7,254,985 THB / £173,621) | 6 h 30 mins |
Bangkok to Dubai: Airport Options
There are two airports situated in Bangkok. Its most significant and famous – Suvarnabhumi Airport – doesn’t handle private charters. On the other hand, Don Mueang is set up to receive VIP guests and arrange your jet charter.
Don Mueang International Airport (DMK)
This airport is somewhat of a paradox. All the budget airlines operate out of here (with the higher-quality airlines heading to Suvarnabhumi), yet it’s also fully equipped with luxury and VIP facilities.
Thanks to the central location, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Bangkok and reach the airport in about 30 minutes.
Don Mueang is an old airport, but you will find modern and high-quality amenities and services within the two onsite FBOs. Each has executive lounges to relax in.
6. London to Dubai
London is one of the world’s most visited cities. This cosmopolitan destination has everything to offer whether you’ve come for the fine dining and entertainment options or business matters.
The London – Dubai route is a semi-long haul that lasts under seven hours. You will be most comfortable in a midsize or heavy jet. Prices for the midsize jet are 521,833 AED (£128,479).
London to Dubai: Pricing Options
The small aircraft don’t have the required range to manage this flight. If you’re travelling light, opt for the midsize jet, while travellers with plenty of luggage or a large entourage should opt for the heavy jet.
Midsize Jet | 6 – 10 | 521,833 AED (£128,479) | 6 h 45 mins |
Heavy Jet | 6 – 96 | 776,285 AED (£191,127) | 6 h 45 mins |
London to Dubai: Airport Options
London is crucial for business, finance, and leisure and serves as a central hub for the southern area of the UK. This is why you have no less than five airports to choose from:
London City (LCI)
The most centrally located airport is London City. This tiny facility sits by the river Thames in Newham. Whether by public transport or taxi, the journey from central London is quick.
The airport is small, so you won’t find too much to do here, but there is a nearby FBO that has an executive lounge and VIP services:
Biggin Hill (BQH)
Another small airport, Biggin Hill, is geared toward business travellers. It has a helicopter shuttle service that takes six minutes from central London.
Again, you won’t find too much here facility-wise. The two FBOs handle all VIP requirements here:
Stansted (STN)
Stansted is 40 miles outside of central London. You can take a 40-minute train from Liverpool street, or a helicopter shuttle will get you there in less than 20 minutes.
The advantage of being situated away from London is the available space. This has made it easy for many FBOs to situate themselves here. You’re truly spoilt for choice and have an almost limitless array of VIP and private amenities and services at your disposal:
- Inflite Jet Centre
- Harrods
- Universal Aviation
- Inflight The Jet Centre
- The Diamond Hangar
- Fayair
- Infinite Jet Center;
- X Jet London;
- London Jet Center;
- Antonov Airlines UK;
- North Air Ltd;
- Titan Airways;
- London Jet Charter;
- Inflite The Jet Center;
- NATS Jet Stansted;
- Aeronexus;
- GT Engine Services;
- Swissport.
Gatwick (LGW)
South of London, Gatwick is a 30-minute train journey from Victoria station. Taxis take a lot longer. This airport is the better option if you’re arriving from the southern parts of the UK rather than London itself.
Gatwick does provide private check-in services, loungers, and a concierge. For your private charters from Gatwick, you can employ the services of the two onsite FBOs:
Heathrow (LHR)
Finally, we have Heathrow, the UK’s largest and busiest airport. The airport is in west London, and you can take the Piccadilly line on the famous London Underground. Otherwise, the express train is rapid and only takes 15 minutes to reach the airport from Paddington station. A helicopter shuttle will take roughly the same amount of time.
You can find many upscale services at Heathrow, including an array of private lounges. You will also be easily entertained by the airport’s luxury boutiques, gyms, and spas. Two FBOs are on hand to arrange your private jet charter to Dubai:
7. Manchester to Dubai
Manchester is the leading travel hub for the northern portion of the UK and is the UK’s third busiest airport (after Heathrow and Gatwick). Culturally, Manchester has loads to offer but is chiefly known for its music scene.
After spending time in Manchester, you can arrange your private jet charters to Dubai from the city’s airport. The midsize jet costs 535,736 AED (£132,947), while the route takes about seven hours.
Manchester to Dubai: Pricing Options
Like London, the route and flight times are very similar. Therefore, you will be comfortably accommodated in a midsize or heavy jet.
Midsize Jet | 6 – 10 | 535,736 AED (£132,947) | 7 h |
Heavy Jet | 6 – 96 | 798,915 AED (£198,257) | 6 h 55 mins |
Manchester to Dubai: Airport Options
Manchester airport is only 14.5 km from the city’s central area. A taxi ride will take about 20 minutes (traffic permitting), while the train is only a 15-minute ride.
Manchester Airport (MAN)
Manchester airport has a dedicated private terminal called Premiair. Reserved exclusively for private and VIP travellers, you can enjoy sumptuous lounges and dining experiences and a full suite of high-class services here. If you prefer, you can employ the services of the three nearby FBOs:
8. New York to Dubai
New York easily connects Dubai to the USA and is a trendy travel hub for travellers from the middle-east. From culture to sport, business, and finance, there are many reasons to visit the Big Apple.
For your return flight to Dubai, you will pay 1,046,525 AED ($284,924) for a midsize jet. This is a lengthy journey at twelve and a half hours, so ensuring comfort is a must.
New York to Dubai: Pricing Options
Both midsize jets and heavy jets offer comfortable surroundings for long-haul flights. However, you get more space and facilities on a heavy jet, although it comes at a premium.
Midsize Jet | 6 – 10 | 1,046,525 AED ($284,924) | 12 h 30 mins |
Heavy Jet | 6 – 96 | 1,520,166 AED ($413,876) | 12 h 30 mins |
New York to Dubai: Airport Options
New York has three airports at your disposal. JFK and Teterboro can handle your private jet charters to Dubai as LaGuardia chiefly deals with domestic flights, so on this occasion, we won’t go into detail about this airport.
- John F. Kennedy (JFK)
- Teterboro Airport (TEB)
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
John F. Kennedy
This airport is super famous and is the main gateway into New York. For your journey, a helicopter shuttle is the fastest and most convenient option and takes minutes. A taxi isn’t the best choice as it can easily get snarled up in traffic for hours.
Terminal 4 is equipped for private flyers. Many superior facilities await you here while the three FBOs will arrange your private charters and services:
Teterboro Airport (TEB)
Located 19 km from Manhattan in New Jersey, Teterboro is highly popular with private flyers. This is because fees and taxes are lower, so you’ll pay less overall for your flight.
Taxi journeys can take over an hour, so, like JFK, many VIP flyers prefer to charter a helicopter.
The airport boasts VIP lounges, luxury shopping, and concierge facilities. Four FBOs are well-placed to offer you private jets and high-end services:
Which Jets Can Fly You To Dubai?
There are four main categories of jets that you can arrange for your flight to Dubai. The ideal one will depend on the distance of the route, your party size, and the onboard amenities you require.
Turboprops
A turboprop is hugely enjoyable and economical for short journeys. On average, this aircraft can travel up to 1,500 miles (2414 km) in one go. You won’t find much space or many facilities on board, but what they lack in this respect, they make up for the view you get while flying.
The Mitsubishi MU-2 is a surprisingly spacious turboprop. The cabin can accommodate up to seven passengers, and there’s even luggage space on this model. The cabin is also pressurised, which adds to your comfort.
Light Jets
Light jets are turboprops’ faster and better-looking cousins. Although a similar size to a turboprop, they can manage distances of 1,700 miles (2735 km). If you need to prioritise speed over cost, the light jet is what you’re looking for.
The Eclipse 500 is a small light jet but highly economical on fuel. Ideal for really short hops, the aircraft features club-style seats with power outlets and tables for working on.
Midsize / Super Midsize Jets
The most popular type of jet is the midsize aircraft. These aircraft strike the perfect balance between range, cost, and facilities. Some can reach a max speed of 460 knots, and with an average capacity of 2,200-mile (3,540 km), you can enjoy this aircraft for your semi-long-haul needs.
The Hawker 700 is an exceptionally quiet midsize jet. The cabin features room for up to eight passengers, with hot and cold food facilities and an onboard restroom.
Heavy Jets
The heavy jet is the long-haul aircraft of choice, capable of ranges up to 6,000 miles (9,656 km) and speeds of 521 knots. These jets often feature full onboard facilities, including a stocked kitchen, restrooms, and the ability for passengers to lie flat. A heavy jet is also a great choice if you have a large party.
The Challenger 605 has a transatlantic flight range, which is excellent for long-haul journeys. The wide cabin seats ten and features large windows for your viewing pleasure.
Conclusion
Getting back to Dubai has never been easier or more convenient than on a private jet. Depending on where you’re travelling, you always have luxury amenities and FBOs available to cater to your requirements.
