There’s a lot happening on the tiny 85.5 sq km island known as Mykonos. It’s famous for having a wild, nonstop, and exclusive party scene enjoyed by people worldwide.
The island’s nightlife is a sight to behold, and after the clubs have shut, you can relax on its pristine beaches in many of the five-star luxury resorts. In short, it’s bliss!
Here you will find people from all walks of life, so there are many popular private jet routes to the island. I have hand-picked seven favourite private jet charter locations to Mykonos to explore:
Topics
1. Athens to Mykonos
Athens has Greece’s most important and busiest airport. The city is culturally rich and holds over 50% of the country’s industry, so many business travellers like to head to Mykonos after spending time in Athens.
Turboprop prices start from €2,621, and the journey is super quick, taking only half an hour.
Athens to Mykonos: Pricing Options
You can’t get better value than a turboprop here. Unless you have a large party with you, it’s the best option.
The prices below are based on Stratosjets rates. Note that other private charter companies might have lower or higher prices, depending on the company.
Aircraft Type | Max no of passengers | Price | Estimated flight time |
Turboprop | 9 | €2,621 | 35 mins |

Athens to Mykonos: Airport Options
You can find only one airport in Athens. It’s 33 km southeast of the city centre, and the metro will get you there in around 40 minutes. I don’t recommend a taxi here as Athens is infamous for its bad traffic. If you need a faster option, a helicopter transfer is possible from some city areas.
Athens International Airport (ATH)
The airport has a dedicated private business terminal so that VIP flyers can enter Athens without delay.
Within the private terminal, you will discover luxury facilities plus the presence of four FBOs. Each FBO will accommodate your private jet charters to Mykonos and provide you with VIP services:
2. Istanbul to Mykonos
Istanbul is the 4th most prosperous city in the world and has a thriving business sector. Many people head here just for its food and fine dining options. It’s also conveniently close to its Greek neighbours.
You will reach Mykonos in around an hour. The best way to head there is to enjoy the scenic views from the turboprop costing €3,931 (72,480 TRY).
Istanbul to Mykonos: Pricing Options
You can’t beat the turboprop for the price here, especially since it doesn’t take much longer than the light jet.
The prices below are based on Stratosjets rates. Note that other private charter companies might have lower or higher prices, depending on the company.
Aircraft Type | Max no of passengers | Price | Estimated flight time |
Turboprop | 9 | €3,931 (72,480 TRY) | 1 h 20 mins |
Light Jet | 9 | €4,914 (90,605 TRY) | 1 h 05 mins |
Midsize Jet | 10 | €7,208 (132,903 TRY) | 1 h |

Istanbul to Mykonos: Airport Options
Two airports await you in and around Istanbul to transport you to your island paradise.
- Istanbul airport (IST)
- Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW)
Istanbul airport
Located to the Northwest of the city, the airport is 54 km by car and can take upwards of an hour to reach. However, for a faster option, you may charter a helicopter transfer, which will take around ten minutes.
This large airport has a multitude of facilities all under one roof. VIP services include private check-ins, lounges, leisure facilities, and concierges.
Four FBOs are waiting to provide you with first-class service and charter your hop over Mykonos:
- Gozen
- Bilen Air Services

- Air Kargo Aviation
Sabiha Gokcen Airport
This airport is 43 km from central Istanbul, but a shuttle will take you there in around half an hour. A taxi journey will be under an hour on a good traffic day.
This airport features a separate private terminal, so you’ll have a pleasurable VIP experience here. You’ll find comfortable lounges, boutiques, and fine dining options, and if you want your flight to be hosted by an FBO instead, you have two options:
3. Tel Aviv to Mykonos
Tel Aviv has been dubbed the “capital of cool.” It’s a hip and thriving city, popular with young folk and those visiting on business. It’s not surprising that chartering a jet to go and party on Mykonos is a popular activity.
Taking less than two hours on average, you can be on the Grecian beaches before lunchtime. While a turboprop takes a little longer, it’s affordable and costs €6,552 (23,042 ILS).
Tel Aviv to Mykonos: Pricing Options
If you’re going there for leisure, then why not take the leisurely option and enjoy the scenery from the turboprop? If you want to get there faster, a light jet is another great choice.

Ben Gurion Airport (TLV)
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be escorted to its exclusive private Fattal terminal, where you can enjoy a host of VIP amenities, including lounges, refreshments, and even private rooms.
You can pick from three FBOs at the Fattal terminal to charter your private jet:
4. Nice to Mykonos
Nice is the central travel hub for the gorgeous Cote d’Azur, Cannes, and Monaco. From one leisure playground to another, getting to Mykonos from here is quick and easy.
A turboprop takes less than four hours and is priced from €10,484, while a light jet costs from €14,742 and take an hour less.

The light jet is the best choice here. You’ll get to Mykonos fast, and it doesn’t cost much more than the slower turboprop.
The prices below are based on Stratosjets rates. Note that other private charter companies might have lower or higher prices, depending on the company.
Aircraft Type | Max no of passengers | Price | Estimated flight time |

Heavy Jet | 96 | €24,900 | 2 h 25 mins |
Nice to Mykonos: Airport Options
One airport awaits you in Nice, but it’s well-connected. Helicopter transfers from Monaco take mere minutes. From Cannes and the Cote d’Azur, it’s a 30-minute ride and only 13 minutes from central Nice.
Nice Côte d’Azur Aéroport (NCE)
Nice has been perfectly designed for private flyers. A dedicated terminal receives only VIP guests and has a full range of top-class facilities.
Here you will discover three FBOs, each featuring a high-level array of amenities and services. All will happily arrange your private jet charters to Mykonos:
5. London to Mykonos
London has it going on. Besides serving as one of the world’s most important business and financial hubs, it has endless nightlife and leisure options. When you’re ready to leave, multiple airports are on hand to take you to the calm of Mykonos.
A turboprop is the cheapest option, costing €13,105 (£11,421), but it takes over five hours. On the other hand, a light jet takes less than four hours and costs €19,656 (£17,131).
London to Mykonos: Pricing Options
Unless you’re not in any hurry, I recommend the light jet since it strikes the perfect balance between time and value.
The prices below are based on Stratosjets rates. Note that other private charter companies might have lower or higher prices, depending on the company.
Aircraft Type | Max no of passengers | Price | Estimated flight time |
Turboprop | 9 | €13,105 (£11,421) | 5 h 5 min |

London to Mykonos: Airport Options
No less than five airports await you to take you out of London and into Mykonos. Depending on your location in the city, one of these options will be well placed to receive you:
Gatwick (LGW)
Gatwick is located in the southern end of London. The quickest way to reach it is to take the 30-minute train from Victoria, as a taxi will take a lot longer. Gatwick is ideal if you’ve been in the south but is not the best choice if you’re coming from central London.
Gatwick is a large airport with two terminals and plenty of private lounges and leisure facilities to enjoy. Two FBOs await your custom and have all the VIP services you’d expect from a private charter company:
Heathrow (LHR)
This absolute giant of an airport is the UK’s busiest. Catch the 15-minute express train from Paddington or charter a helicopter transfer which also takes 15 minutes.
The airport has plenty of facilities to occupy your time, such as lounges, gyms, and boutiques. The two FBOs here are fully equipped with everything you need for your private jet charters to Mykonos.
London City (LCI)
London City is placed in Newham, a short hop from Canary Wharf. It’s tiny so you won’t find much in the way of facilities, but it’s hugely convenient if you’re coming from central London.
One FBO is located close to the airport with a luxurious lounge and VIP facilities:
Biggin Hill (BQH)
Biggin Hill is another small airport and is generally favoured by business flyers. This is mainly because its helicopter transfer service gets you from the city centre to the airport in six minutes.
Two FBOs will take care of your needs and provide private lounges and services for you to make use of:
Stansted (STN)
Stansted isn’t in London. It’s 40 miles northeast of central London. However, the sheer amount of FBOs here makes it the private flyers’ airport of choice. A direct train will get you from London in 40 minutes, and a helicopter transfer takes around 10-15 minutes.
This airport has over twice the amount of FBOs I’ve seen at any other airport. It’s genuinely a VIP flyers paradise. Each FBO has its array of high-class facilities and services. The hard part is selecting which one you want to use!
- Inflite Jet Centre
- Harrods
- Universal Aviation
- Inflight The Jet Centre
- The Diamond Hangar
- Fayair
- Infinite Jet Center;
- X Jet London;
- London Jet Center;
- Antonov Airlines UK;

To get from the US to Greece, you need a larger jet. This is because the journey takes 13 hours, and you want to be comfortable. A heavy jet costs €129,480 ($128,431) and has ample room for you and anyone you bring along.
Los Angeles to Mykonos: Pricing Options

Los Angeles to Mykonos: Airport Options
Los Angeles is a vast and sprawling city. Therefore, four airports are available for your convenience. Each offers private jet charters to Mykonos.
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
- Long Beach Airport (LGB)
- Van Nuys Airport (VNY)
- Los Angeles John Wayne Airport (SNA)
Los Angeles International airport
Who hasn’t heard of LAX? LA’s largest airport is where most commercial flights come and go. It’s the closest airport to downtown LA so you can expect a taxi to take 30 minutes or a helicopter transfer only ten minutes.
LAX is well used to receiving VIP guests and has a dedicated private terminal and suite for all its private and VIP clients. The airport’s two FBOs have a full range of top-notch services to fulfill your private charter needs:
Long Beach Airport (LGB)
This airport is conveniently located if you’re returning from one of the many exclusive beach resorts. However, it’s not the best airport to fly from if you’re in LA properly since a taxi from central LA takes at least 45 minutes.
Long Beach airport is small but perfectly formed, with enough going on to satisfy your comfort. Three FBOs are here, all boasting their VIP facilities and services:
Van Nuys Airport (VNY)
If you don’t want the added inconvenience of navigating a busy airport, Van Nuys is for you. Catering exclusively to military and private clients, you will find this airport has been designed to fully meet and exceed the expectations of its VIP customers.
The airport is located east of downtown LA. You can expect a taxi to take around a half hour, depending on traffic. Otherwise, you can charter a helicopter transfer to the airport within minutes.
High-class facilities are found throughout the airport, and five FBOs are available to arrange your private jet charters to Mykonos.
Los Angeles John Wayne Airport (SNA)
You won’t easily forget the name of this airport! John Wayne is based in southern OC. So, while it isn’t in LA proper, it’s helpful if you’re coming from elsewhere in the area rather than central LA.
Here you will find amenities and lounges for private flyers. Two onsite FBOs are waiting to cater to your private charter requirements:
7. Sydney to Mykonos

Sydney to Mykonos: Pricing Options
Because of the vast distance, we only see the prices for the heavy jet here. You can also choose an ultra-long range jet for the journey. Check out Stratosjet’s website to discover the options.

Sydney Kingsford-Smith Airport (SYD)
VIP rooms, lounges, and services await you here so you can relax before your long flight.
Three FBOs have full and varied first-class facilities and offer a variety of heavy jets to get you to Mykonos:
Which Jets Can Fly You To Mykonos?
There are endless choices of jets for your charter to Mykonos. The turboprops and light jets are economical aircraft for short distances, while the midsize and heavy jets are designed to handle longer distances. The heavy jet, in particular, is good if you have a large crowd of people with you.
Turboprops
A turboprop can go up to 1,500 miles (2,414 km), and they are the recommended aircraft for quick journeys or if you want to go for a scenic ride. Named so because they feature propellers, turboprops are slower than light jets but more affordable.
I recommend the Trislander for your trip to Mykonos mainly because it’s the only turboprop accommodating 18 people. Handy if you’ve brought your party crowd along. Travelling up to 170 knots, this aircraft is renowned for its reliability and short take-off and landing capabilities.
Light Jets
Light jets can go faster and further than turboprops but are of a similar size. Since they’re more powerful, they cost a little more. However, you’ll get up to 1,700 miles (2,735 km) range out of these aircraft.
The Learjet 45XR is an exceptional craft as it exceeds the average maximum and can go 2,000 miles (3,218 km) at a speed of 445 knots. Featuring space for eight passengers, an onboard restroom is included for your comfort.
Midsize / Super-Midsize Jets
Midsize jets are the perfect balance between size, range, and price. Therefore, they’re the most popular choice for journeys that take longer than a couple of hours. Midsize jets are fast and can travel up to 460 knots, with an average 2,200-mile range.
The Gulfstream G600 is a new addition to the midsize jet range. It can seat up to 13 passengers and even has a lie-flat sleeping area for up to six people. The craft can be split into four cabin zones and has a fully equipped galley for ultimate luxury.
Heavy Jets
You need a jet to match if you need to go the distance. Heavy jets can go the furthest out of our featured aircraft options. These powerful aircraft can reach 6,000 miles (9,656 km) and speeds of 521 knots, which is perfect for long-haul legs.
Another Gulfstream model, the G300, has an onboard washroom and accessible luggage hold so you can access everything you need mid-flight. Fully reclining chairs and a full-size galley complete the amenities designed to get you to Mykonos in style.
Final Thoughts
Mykonos is and always will be a place of respite and relaxation for people to enjoy. Chartering a private jet will ensure you avoid the crowds and the hassle of the airport so you can get to your beach resort ready and refreshed for a few days of fun.
