Company History

Exec 1 Aviation (previously established as DashJet) is an Iowa-based air charter operator, with JR Boesen as the company’s CEO.

The company was founded in 2009 with a fleet of renovated Hawker 400XPs. It now offers fixed-rate pricing and a jet card membership for frequent travelers. They also have a fleet of Beechjet 400s and source other aircraft from different operators.

More frequent travelers can become members of an entry-level program that starts at 25 hours or try it out with a 10-hour introduction jet card, which we’ll elaborate on further below.

Jet Card Program

The Exec 1 Aviation Jet card is designed for regular travelers who can join an entry-level program that begins at 25 hours or test it out with a 10-hour trial jet card. There are no hidden costs or surprises with this jet card program. You will get fixed hourly rates and a flight tailored to your preferences, from your preferred aircraft cabin to inflight services and amenities.

Members enjoy benefits such as invitations to the low-cost Empty Flights.

The average investment you need to make to become a cardholder is between $60,000 and $100,000, and the sum will be used as a deposit to cover the hours you fly.

There is no guarantee of availability, but the hourly price is fixed and jet card members can access multiple planes simultaneously. There are no membership or initiation costs besides the deposit.

Contact them at the following link for a personalized jet card quotation and price details.

On-Demand Charter

Benefits of chartering with Exec 1 Aviation include catering, ground transportation, and onboard services and amenities.

You can get the aircraft you need with a 6 hours notice in ideal circumstances. Booking a charter is as simple as it can be; you just inform their team when and where you need to go, and they will take care of the rest.

The flight operations team is available 24 hours, seven days a week. If your plans change, let them know and they can assist you in creating your itinerary.

The Fleet

Wing,Of,Airplane,With,Windows,On,Runway,Preparation,For,Take

Exec 1 Aviation gives you access to a wide range of aircraft, from light jets to airliners. No matter what sort of aircraft you want, the flight operations team can secure the aircraft you require.

1. Light Private Jets

If you need to travel to a nearby city, leasing a light jet is a wise decision. Even though most light aircraft don’t include the services of a flight attendant, they can accommodate up to eight people, and most feature an onboard restroom. Despite their small size, light jets’ flight range exceeds 1,400 miles and they can go faster than 500 mph.

Our Recommendation: Learjet 40

The Learjet 40 is a small business jet produced by Bombardier Learjet. It debuted in January 2004 as the replacement of the Learjet 45. Although it shares the same general design as the Learjet 45, the body is two feet narrower, and the gas tank is 100 gallons lighter. Furthermore, with a cabin space of more than 350 cubic feet, the interior is bigger than its competitors. The Learjet 40 was produced until 2009.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 7;
  • Cabin height: 4 ft 11 In;
  • Cabin length: 17 ft 8 In;
  • Cabin width: 5 ft 1 In;
  • External Baggage: 50 cu ft;
  • Internal Baggage: 15 cu ft;
  • Max Range: 1707 nm;
  • Max Speed: 465 kts;
  • Crew: 2

Exec 1 Aviation offers the following light jets as part of their fleet: Premier 1 Series, Phenom 300, Nextant 400XTi, Learjet 31A, Beechjet 400A, Cessna Citation CJ3, and CJ2.

2. Midsize Private Jets

If a small aircraft can’t get you far enough or isn’t big enough to suit your needs, a midsize jet will probably be able to accommodate you. Midsize jets balance luxury and efficiency, providing a long range and better performance, making them excellent for both short and long-haul trips. Midsize jets provide greater comfort and more facilities, including a large baggage compartment, fold-out divans, and a lavatory, all that in a cabin that has enough room to stand up.

Our Recommendation: Gulfstream G150

The Gulfstream G150 was built by Israel Aircraft Industries in 2005 and rapidly became a popular choice. The G150 offers the best value in its class, with a long-range, quick speed, and a powerful avionics package. The Gulfstream G150 is one of the fastest mid-sized business jets.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 7
  • Exterior Height: 19 ft 1 in;
  • Length: 56 ft 9 in;
  • External baggage: 55 cu ft;
  • Internal baggage: 25 cu ft;
  • Max speed: 470 kts;
  • Max Range: 3130 nm;
  • Crew: 2

Exec 1 Aviation offers the following midsize jets as part of their fleet: Learjet 45 Series, Learjet 60 Series, Hawker 800/850/900 XP, Citation XLS Series, CJ4, and Citation Excel.

3. Super-Midsize Private Jets

Super-mid-size aircraft outperform most regular midsize jets in terms of range, size, and extra amenities, while providing value for your money. On-board Wi-Fi, a spacious cabin, and upgraded instruments are part of the upgrade from a typical midsize aircraft, resulting in a smoother and more pleasant journey.

Our Recommendation: The Bombardier Challenger 300

Bombardier Aerospace designed the Challenger 300 business jet and manufactured it until 2014. The interior is around 40% more spacious than comparable midsize business aircraft.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 8-16;
  • Cabin length: 28 ft 7 in;
  • Cabin height: 6 ft 1 in;
  • Cabin width: 7 ft 2 in;
  • Internal baggage: 106 cu ft;
  • Max Speed: 476 kts;
  • Max Range: 3340 nm;
  • Crew: 2.

Exec 1 Aviation offers the following super-midsize jets as part of their fleet: Hawker 4000, Hawker 1000, Gulfstream 200, Falcon 50EX, Falcon 2000 Series, Citation X and Citation Sovereign.

4. Large Private Jets

The heavy jets are lavish planes, with plenty of room for comfortably accommodating travelers and extra luggage. Large comfy seats, private bathrooms, mattresses, top entertainment options, a telephone, Wi-Fi, and a full kitchen are standard for heavy jets. You’ll also have one or two flight attendants to assist with catering and other services.

Our Recommendation: The Embraer Legacy 650E

The Embraer Legacy 650E boasts the biggest cabin in its class, with comfortable seating for 14 passengers, three cabin zones, web access, and international phone service. The peaceful cabin lets you work, dine, or relax in perfect comfort. Amenities include a spacious galley, lavatory, and plenty of luggage storage. The Embraer Legacy 650E also features leather seats and low cabin noise.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 14;
  • Cabin width: 6 ft 11 in;
  • Cabin height: 6 ft;
  • Aircraft length: 86 ft 5 in;
  • Max cruise speed: 460 ktas;
  • Internal baggage: 286 cu ft;
  • Crew: 2.

Exec 1 Aviation offers the following large jets as part of their fleet: Gulfstream V, Gulfstream IV, Gulfstream 500 Series, Bombardier Global 5000/6000, Falcon 900 series, Embraer Legacy 500, Challenger 605, and Challenger 604.

Company Safety Policy and Standards

For the maximum level of safety, all flights operate under their 5-point Safety Regulations. The IS-BAO safety management system, which includes all of Exec1’s aircraft as well as the FBO, is the first step of the process. The IS-BAO certification is the strictest in the sector, requiring two-years to complete the process and more than 800 evaluations.

Moreover, every third-party operator that Exec1Aviation uses should possess at least one safety accreditation from AR/GUS, IS-BAO, or Wyvern.

Exec 1 Aviation’s Trip Operations Department monitors all airports and FBOs before and throughout your flight. The pilots also provide real-time information on current operating circumstances.

Pilots

All pilots either exceed the severe flying time standards established by WYVERN, AR/GUS, IS-BAO, or are Exec 1 Aviation-Certified.

Exec 1 Aviation requires all pilots to have a current FAA license and health certificate. This includes staying up to date on the newest training certificates, including a flight review every year and an equipment skill check every six months.

Furthermore, Exec 1 Aviation employs a strict two-pilot protocol. Understandably, every plane needs a backup pilot in case of emergency or if something happens to the captain. Safety is the main purpose of including two pilots to operate a jet.

FBO Services

A fixed base operator (FBO) is a private airport terminal that provides premium services for flights and passengers, including refueling and line services, local transport, catering, storage area, and ramp space leasing. Exec 1 FBO is the only local private terminal in Des Moines, Iowa.

This FBO offers on-site servicing, de-icing and heated hangars for piston, jet, or turbine aircraft. Here, passengers and crew members can request a rental car and catering.

Additional Services

Exec 1 Aviation

But that’s not all! Exec 1 Aviations accommodates their clients in many other ways, even after the flight is over.

You can request ground transportation with a phone call to your agent or through a service request, whether you’re looking for something simple or a more luxurious option, like a limo.

Moreover, they can customize your in-flight service and meals to your specific requirements. For example, if you’re flying with your pet, let them know beforehand so they can make all the necessary preparations to accommodate it.

Exec 1 will work with you to create a unique experience that will leave a lasting impact. If you are planning a surprise or celebration, make a special request on the following link and the company will gladly assist you.

Conclusion

Exec 1 will get you to your location swiftly and safely. Their jet card program provides customized service and entitles you to FBO services at their local airport. You can easily book your next flight with the help of their 24/7 available team.
