Company Overview

ExpertJet was founded in 2014 at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, by Andrew Flaxman, a former jet pilot who acts as the company’s CEO. The company doesn’t have it’s own fleet and books the best and safest jets from different charter services.

The company offers a jet card with fixed hourly prices without any entry or membership fees, as well as an On-Demand+ membership program, which is a pay-per-use service. The yearly membership fee is $8,000 and flights are subject to dynamic pricing, unlike the jet card program. Let’s go over their membership programs in more detail.

Membership Programs and Jet Cards

ExpertJet, membership

ExpertJet simplifies the process of charter booking and provides 5,000 jets from several operators who have passed the rigorous ExpertJet Tip & Tail Certification procedure.

You can take advantage of the company’s X-card or join the On Demand and On Demand+ membership programs for exclusive benefits and excellent customer service. ExpertJet offers on-demand access to the best aircraft on the market, the average age of each jet being six years.

Domestic flights can be canceled without penalty up to 24 hours in advance, and their international travel cancellation policy is flexible. Each aircraft has two captain-qualified pilots on board. In the case of a crew or aircraft disruption, a backup jet (equal or bigger) will be provided for you. Moreover, you receive complimentary meals on light/midsize aircraft and a $100 credit (with a menu to choose from) while on heavy aircraft.

To offer you a clearer understanding of what they are about, let’s dive deeper into what they offer.

Pay and Fly

On-Demand allows you to sample the ExpertJet experience on a pay-per-flight system. You can be up in the air in as little as 4 hours’ notice time, thanks to their simple computerized booking procedure.

There is no requirement to become a member and you enjoy some of the benefits members experience, like a 24/7 concierge and travel assistance service. You can book domestic or international trips and empty-leg flights with full fleet access, and even earn some dividend rewards.

You can earn credits for catering, ground transportation, or amenities on a flight-by-flight basis. Cash credits are granted on every trip, depending on the aircraft category, and can be spent in any way mentioned above.

Flight Spending Dividend Rewards
$75,000 $150
$150,000 $250

On-Demand Plus

On-Demand+ is the company’s most elite and favored jet charter membership program. It offers enhanced cash benefits for each trip – in addition to other benefits such as access to exclusive fleet aircraft.

Without yearly dues or limited hourly rates, OnDemand+ membership works in your favor, regardless of the destination, travel date, or aircraft class. You can earn $250 in food and transportation credits and rollover cash incentives for future ExpertJet flights on every trip. You can use your travel awards to get a discount or pay for the whole flight.

X-Card

The ExpertJet X-Card is a flexible and all-inclusive membership program, perfect for individuals who want the security of fixed hourly pricing.

The X-Card allows members to select the optimal aircraft category for each journey, with no interchange fees, limits on aircraft types, or blackout periods. You will be able to make a reservation with a single click and have your funds secured in an escrow account with no management fees.

Guaranteed availability, no blackout dates, available upgrades, 24/7 support, and instant dividend reward are some of the advantages that come with the X-card. ExpertJet cardholders enjoy free WiFi onboard and they can utilize numerous planes at the same time.

The Fleet

Bombardier Challenger 350 business jet aircraft

Only 5,000 aircraft worldwide pass the stringent ExpertJet Tip to Tail Certification process for evaluating the safety, functionality, and quality of planes. A charter expert will find the ideal option for you, whether you require a small jet or a huge airliner.

1. Helicopter

Compared to ground transportation, private helicopters can cut your trip time in half. They can land in isolated, unreachable sites, such as mountains, and even on parking lots or yachts, provided there’s enough space. This makes them the most flexible transportation option ExpertJet offers.

Our Recommendation: Sikorsky S-96

The Sikorsky S-92 is a medium-size helicopter with twin engines. This multipurpose transport helicopter is manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft in the United States. Operators primarily employ the S-92 for offshore cargo and passenger transport to oil platforms, search and rescue operations, and as transport for government executives..

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 10;
  • Exterior height: 179 ft;
  • Cabin volume: 775 cu ft;
  • Service ceiling: 14000 ft;
  • Internal baggage: 53 cu ft;
  • External baggage: 140 cu ft;
  • Max speed: 155 kts;
  • Rotor diameter: 56 ft 3 in;
  • Crew: 2.

ExpertJet offers a few more helicopters, such as Aerospatiale, Agusta A109, two models of Bell, EuroCopter EC-120/EC-130, McDonnell Douglas MD-500, and Sikorsky S-76.

2. Turboprop

Turboprops differ from jets in two aspects; they fly at low altitudes and use propellers set on the wings or the sides of the aircraft that allow them to take flight. When it comes to landing and takeoff, turboprops are more flexible than jets as they can land on short runways and problematic terrains, such as grass and sand. This allows them to fly to practically every airport in the world.

Our Recommendation: Dornier 328

Dornier 328 is a passenger airliner with a limited range and high speed. They have been in operation since 1993. It’s basically a small airplane that can accommodate more than 30 passengers.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 34;
  • Internal Baggage: 35 cu ft;
  • External Baggage: 226 cu ft;
  • Cabin Height: 6 ft 2 In;
  • Cabin Length: 33 ft 9 In;
  • Cabin Width: 7 ft 4 In;
  • Max Speed: 400 kts;
  • Max Range: 1400 nm;
  • Crew: 3.

ExpertJet offers a few more turboprops, such as Saab 340, many types of Beechcraft, Cessna, Piaggio Avanti I/II and Pilatus PC-12.

3. Very Light and Light Private Jets

Light private planes are the second most desirable option for hard-to-reach areas and short-distance travel that doesn’t exceed 2,000 miles. They are extremely fast and perfect for a local flight, whether it’s a short family journey or a quick corporate trip. Although most light aircraft will not be able to carry a flight attendant, they can accommodate around eight passengers and feature an onboard restroom.

Our Recommendation: Citation Encore +

The FAA approved the Encore+ in 2006 and 65 jets were manufactured until 2010. The Encore+ outperforms the Citation Encore in terms of cargo space and takeoff capabilities. It features two engines, and the aircraft’s braking system is strengthened by installing a trailing link on the foldable landing gear. The jet is equipped with heaters in the fuel system to keep the fuel from icing.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 7;
  • External baggage: 43 cu ft;
  • Internal baggage: 28 cu ft;
  • Max speed: 430 kts;
  • Max range: 1792 nm;
  • Exterior height: 15 ft 2 in;
  • Length: 48 ft 11 in;
  • Crew: 2.

ExpertJet offer very light jet types, including Cessna Citation Mustang, Eclipse 500/550, and Embraer Phenom 100. Light jets in their fleet are Beechcraft Hawker 400XP, Premier IA, many types of Bombardier Learjet, Cessna Citation, and IAI Westwind. You can see the full offer on their website.

3. Midsize and Super-Midsize Private Jets

Most jets in these two categories can carry up to ten passengers. They offer a longer range and greater passenger room than light jets and meet an increasing demand for longer-range aircraft at affordable rates. If you are traveling with a number of companions or planning a cross-country trip, midsize and super midsize jets that combine efficiency and elegance are the way to go.

Our Recommendation: The Bombardier Challenger 350

The Bombardier Challenger 300 is the first Challenger in the family, developed with the most important features carried over from previous models. The aircraft’s wings and landing gear are precisely balanced for a smooth flight. This private aircraft has long-range and great runway capabilities that make it ideal for chartering.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 9;
  • Cabin width: 7 ft 17 in;
  • Cabin length: 28 ft 6 in ;
  • High-speed cruise: 540 mph;
  • Max Speed: 470 kts
  • Max Range: 3200 nm.

ExpertJet offers midsize jet types, including IAI Galaxy, many types of Beechcraft Hawker and Cessna Citation, as well as Dassault Falcon 200 and Embraer Legacy 450. You can see the offer on their website.

When it comes to super-midsize jets, ExpertJet offers Bombardier Challenger, Cessna Citation, Dassault Falcon 50, Embraer Legacy 500/600, Gulfstream, and Hawker 1000/4000. You can see the full offer on their website.

4. Large and Long-Range Private Jets

If you want to fly in style, you can’t go wrong with a large jet. With spacious cabins and exceptional comfort, they’re designed for passengers who prefer to work while in the air and can provide several seat layouts and office options. Sleeping berths, gourmet galleys, private toilets, and entertainment systems are all available.

Our Recommendation: Embraer Legacy

ExpertJet offers several large jet models, including Bombardier Challenger, Dassault Falcon,

Dassault Falcon and Gulfstream G II. You can see the full offer on their website.

When it comes to ultra-long-range jets, you can book Bombardier Global 5000/6000

Bombardier Global Express/XRS, Dassault Falcon 7X/8X, and many Gulfstream models. You can see the full offer on their website.

5. VIP Airliner

The ultimate private jet aircraft is a VIP airliner. These planes have been modified to accommodate smaller groups in VIP first-class seating and are popular with politicians, celebrities, and other leading figures in their field. They are the best aircraft for international travel since they provide luxury, elegance, and overnight accommodations.

Our Recommendation: Boeing 727 VIP

The first Boeing 727 took flight in 1963, and since then, it has been utilized for both commercial and executive flights. The 727 VIP boasts all the characteristics of a VIP aircraft, including 7-hour flight duration, space for more than 70 full-size luggage, and plenty of legroom space.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 19;
  • Exterior height: 34 ft;
  • Internal baggage: 400 cu ft;
  • Length: 133 ft 2 in;
  • Normal cruise speed: 453 kts;
  • Max range: 3880 nm;
  • Crew: 2.

ExpertJet offers a few more VIP airliners, such as Airbus ACJ318/319/320, Embraer Lineage 1000/E, Boeing 737BBJ, Fokker F28/F100, and Bombardier Challenger 850.

Company Safety Policy and Standards

Businessman using virtual touchscreen presses word POLICIES

ExpertJet has an internal management solution system that uses several checklists to ensure that all critical information is collected and transmitted to their brokers, flight support staff, and operators.

They evaluate the airport, weather, and other operational conditions before takeoff to ensure that each flight is conducted safely.

ExpertJet’s operators and aircrew are inspected by both in-house security teams as well as ARGUS (Aviation Research Group United States) or Wyvern inspectors.

These organizations establish norms beyond FAA/EASA requirements and offer specific info on each plane, captain, and operator. ExpertJet, as an ARG/US Certified broker, is obligated to guarantee that these requirements are fulfilled or surpassed on every trip and to provide relevant documentation to their passengers.

What Does It Take To Be ExpertJet Certified Aircraft Operator?

The company awards aircraft with a stringent ExpertJet Tip Tail Certification to promote safety and quality. They are looking at the following criteria:

  • The quality of the aircraft cabin,
  • The pilot’s experience,
  • And aircraft operational standards.

Platinum ExpertJet Tip Tail certificated:

The aircraft’s interior must have been renovated not more than three years ago. You can expect the cabin to be new, modern, and well-equipped. All operators are required to be Wyvern/ ARGUS/ EASA approved. It’s also generally applied that they are DOT/NTSB background validated with quality cabin standards and eligible cabin attendants. The operators that fly for ExpertJet must have a minimum of $50 Mil insurance coverage.

Gold ExpertJet Tip Tail certificated:

The same requirements as above apply, except that the aircraft interior must be renovated not more than seven years ago.

Only less than 5,000 aircraft globally receive one of these certificates.

COVID 19 Regulations

ExpertJet has adopted extra cleaning rules for their flight crew, transportation suppliers, and catering services to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and other hazardous viruses, based on 2020 guidelines from the FAA, CDC, and WHO.

Before departure, the company checks the crew’s health, and the luggage is handled carefully to prevent contamination. The aircraft’s interior surfaces, seat belts, and other items are sanitized before each voyage using an alcohol-based sanitizer. Handshakes are strictly forbidden. On request, the crew will put on a mask and gloves.

The company takes similar measures with ground transportation. They use an alcohol-based sanitizer to clean the vehicle’s inside surfaces, seatbelts, and doorknobs before pick up. On request, the driver will put on a mask and gloves.

For onboard catering, fresh food is served, covered or wrapped whenever possible.

ExpertJet offers add-on services, including professional deep cleaning and disinfection, a personal hygiene kit, meals, beverages, amenity supplies replacement, and sterile ground transportation.

Company Staff

ExpertJet staff consists of pilots and industry professionals dedicated to changing the charter industry for the better. They deliver personalized charter programs, services, and knowledge based on the crew’s decades of hands-on expertise.

All pilots must complete yearly training and pass thorough background checks.

All of the captains have logged over 3,000 hours in the air.

There have been no accidents, mishaps, or FA violations involving any operator or pilot.
