Introduction

JetSet Group is your go-to private jet brokerage firm for international trips. In addition to offering on-demand private jet charter, JetSet Group also offers cargo charter and three jet card membership programs that we’ll explore further below. Let’s see what JetSet Group is all about.

About the Company

JetSet Group was founded in 2012 by a group of individuals with expertise in private aviation and the support of international investors.

Situated in New York, the company doesn’t have its own fleet, but uses third-party charter operators with the highest safety ratings. Their membership programs have no initiation or membership costs, so let’s see how this works.

Membership Programs

JetSet Group is aware that every private flier has unique needs for their flight, which is why they’ve designed three versatile and practical jet card choices. All three programs provide simple transactions, quick service, and free basic catering and concierge services.

JetSet Universal Access Card

If you only fly five or six times a year, or you typically take commercial flights but would want to test out private charter flights, the Universal Access Card is the best option. This jet card offers a wide range of benefits and services to make your journey as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

The Universal Card functions as a debit card – by depositing a minimum of $25,000 into your account, you get access to the money right away, which you then use for chartering a private jet.

Some of the benefits that come with this card are no expiration dates and complete flexibility. You can see more perks on the company’s website.

25 Hours Jet Card Membership Program

The JetSet membership card is an ideal choice if you are a frequent flier who is set on your flying preferences. With paying a predetermined hourly rate, a minimum of 25 hours, there are no additional expenses such as fuel, landing fees, or repositioning fees. JetSet charges you, i.e. takes the flight hours from the card only for the hours spent in the air.

Each card is linked to a well-known business jet from the list below:

  • A preferred light jet;
  • A preferred midsize jet;
  • Challenger 300/601/604;
  • Gulfstream IV;
  • Citation X.

Some of the benefits that come with this membership are no blackout dates and no expiration date for your hours. JetSet Group will lock your hourly price on the purchase day, so if there are any price variations due to the rising fuel price, you can relax because it won’t affect your sum.

For more detailed information about the 25 Hours Jet Card, you can visit the JetSet Group website and explore the additional benefits.

JetSet Group’s Diamond Jet Card

The Diamond Jet Card is the company’s premium offer. It’s ideal for those who fly more than 50 hours yearly and there are no blackout dates.

There are additional benefits added every month, such as reduced membership fees, up to three upgrades on the house per year, $100 per flight for catering, benefits for referring a friend, and more. You can see the complete list on their website.

Having exclusive access to empty leg flights is also one of the benefits of being a Diamond Club member. Your flight hours are valid for traveling across Canada, North America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and some parts of Europe.

Selling and Leasing Services

JetSet Group can assist you if you’re looking to become an owner and want to purchase your very own jet. Thanks to their established network of aircraft owners, management firms, and operators, they can help you locate and buy your desired aircraft.

On the other hand, if you are a jet owner and want to lease or sell your plane, their team of experts can take over the process and find you a great deal.

On-Demand Jet Charter

JetSet’s on-demand jet charter service allows you to swiftly and efficiently plan your trip, providing access to over 4,500 high-end planes, ranging from propellers to airliners. Thanks to their pay-as-you-fly, on-demand charter solution, you don’t have to be a frequent flyer or a member to benefit from this service.

The Fleet

JetSet Group

JetSet Group operates a fleet of safe and modern aircraft. They are available 24/7, and there is no need to make a reservation in advance – your jet is just a phone call away.

1. Turboprop

Turboprops can carry more passengers and cargo than their competitors – the piston propellers. Moreover, the cost of operating and maintaining a turboprop is more affordable since it uses less fuel. Their size varies and they maintain a high altitude when flying, but are a bit slower than propellers. All in all, they are perfect for local trips and landing on short runways.

Our Recommendation: Cessna Grand Caravan

The single-engine, three-bladed Cessna Grand Caravan can comfortably accommodate up to 9 passengers. This turbo propeller is ideally suited for local travel.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 9;
  • Cabin width: 5 ft 2 in;
  • Cabin length: 16 ft 7 in;
  • Cabin height: 4 ft 3 in;
  • Flight range: 1115 nm;
  • Cruise speed: 184 kts.

JetSet Group offers a few turbo propellers in their catalog, including the King Air series, Pilatus PC12, and our recommended Cessna Grand Caravan.

2. Very Light Private Jets

The most popular aircraft type for business travel is a very light jet. These jets are faster, smaller, and able to carry a lot more weight than turboprops and piston engines. They have a range that is noticeably wider than turboprops, cruise at almost twice the speed, and are small enough to land at virtually any airport.

Our Recommendation: The Citation Mustang

We introduce you to the Citation Mustang – one of the smallest planes in the world. Due to its sizeable pressurized cabin, which allows for a comfortable flight in both good and bad weather, the Citation Mustang is the ideal option for short flights.

The Mustang has a comfortable interior and spacious cargo area for its class.The pilot commands it using highly advanced onboard controls, which contributes to a smoother and a more pleasant flight.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 4;
  • Cabin length: 9 ft 9 in;
  • Cabin height: 4 ft 5 in;
  • Cabin width: 4 ft 6 in;
  • Luggage capacity: 63 cu ft;
  • Max cruise speed: 340 knots;
  • Max flight range: 1150 nm;
  • Enclosed lavatory.

JetSet Group offers a few very light jets in their catalog, including Eclipse 500, Embraer Phenom 100, and our recommended Citation Mustang.

3. Light Private Jets

Light jets offer slightly improved comfort and amenities compared to their competitors. However, one important difference is that light jets usually have enclosed restrooms, whereas very light jets have curtained-off restrooms or don’t have any at all.

Our Recommendation: Westwind II

The Westwind II has a great cruising speed of more than 450 mph and features amenities you would expect in an opulent private jet, like an entertainment system.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 6-8;
  • Cabin length: 15 ft 9 in;
  • Cabin height: 4 ft 2 in;
  • Cabin width: 7 ft 9 in;
  • Luggage capacity: 67 cu ft;
  • Max cruise speed: 507 knots;
  • Max flight range: 2950 nm.

JetSet Group offers a few light jets in their catalog, including the Citation Jet series, Learjet 40 and Learjet 35A, Phenom 300, and more.

4. Midsize and Super-Midsize Private Jets

When in doubt about what type of jet to charter, we recommend one from the midsize class. If you want to indulge a little more, super-midsize aircraft offers more speed, accommodation, and plenty of room. They are renowned for their spacious cabins, well-equipped galleys, and great performance. You will get all the amenities like chartering a heavy jet, but at a lower price.

Our Recommendation: Citation Sovereign

The Citation Sovereign is the largest jet in its category. It’s the ideal jet for transcontinental travel because of the roomy cabin, which measures seven feet by more than twenty-eight feet in length.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 9;
  • Cabin length: 28 ft 3 in;
  • Cabin height: 6 ft 1 in;
  • Cabin width: 7 ft 2 in;
  • Luggage capacity: 106 cu ft;
  • Max cruise speed: 470 knots;
  • Max flight range: 3500 nm;
  • Enclosed lavatory.

JetSet Group offers many midsize jets in their catalog, including the Lear Jet series, Hawker 700/800/800XP, and more.

Super-midsize jets available in their catalog include the Challenger 300, Hawker 1000, Falcon 50, and others.

5. Large Private Jets

Heavy aircraft are designed to give passengers greater comfort, more amenities, and luxury like no other jet provides. You’ll get a genuinely royal travel experience on your long flight and span continents without a need to stop for refueling.

Our Recommendation: Gulfstream G450

The best things about the luxurious Gulfstream G450 are the modern safety and navigation avionics, including the heads-up display for limited visibility landings. It’s ideal for long-range flights and comes with a flight attendant.

Specifications:

  • Passengers: 12-15;
  • Cabin length: 45 ft 1 in;
  • Cabin height: 6 ft 2 in;
  • Cabin width: 7 ft 3 in;
  • Luggage capacity: 169 cu ft;
  • Max cruise speed: 548 knots;
  • Max flight range: 4466 nm;
  • Full lavatory.

JetSet Group offers many heavy jets in their catalog, including Challenger and Gulfstream series, Falcon, Hawker, and many more.

6. Jumbo Jets

The name accurately describes the size of the aircraft, as these are the biggest planes private fliers can access. These aircraft are used by commercial airlines, and they can accommodate more than 60 passengers if their seating layout is adjusted for commercial flying.

Our Recommendation: Airbus A320

The Airbus A320 offers the ultimate size and passenger capacity. With a wide range of 2700 nautical miles, it can take you on a transcontinental flight without stopping for fuel. Several models with different seating layouts and combinations are available to suit your travel requirements.

Specifications:

  • Maximum passengers: 60;
  • Cabin height: 7 ft 4 in;
  • Cabin width: 12 ft 2 in;
  • Cabin length: 90 ft 2 in;
  • Luggage capacity: 286 cu ft;
  • Max range: 5350 nm;
  • Max speed: 486 kts.

JetSet Group offers a few jumbo jets in their catalog, including Boeing 727 VIP, Boeing Business Jet, Boeing 737, and our recommended model, the Airbus A320.

Company Safety Policy and Standards

The JetSet Group safety team evaluates all risks before departure, with maintenance criteria higher than those set by the FAA and industry.

They guarantee your security by only utilizing private aircraft that comply with the stringent safety standards established by Wyvern and ARG/US. Every air carrier they work with needs to have at least a gold rating from ARG/US.

Pilots

Every pilot is qualified to fly that particular aircraft, has undergone training, and has experience. The pilots must also meet some extra standards set by the aviation industry.

Conclusion

JetSet Group has more than 30 years of expertise in the private jet charter industry. They provide three membership programs and can assist you with purchasing or selling a jet. If, however, you’re not interested in becoming a member, you can use their on-demand charter solution for your next flight.
