Which Jets Can Fly You to Geneva?

There are many types of aircraft that can get you to Geneva in both style and comfort that an average private flyer both expects and deserves. Which one you’ll opt for will most likely be determined by the length of the flight, but also the budget you had in mind.

In general, turboprops are the least expensive and are the most popular aircraft for shorter flights. Opposite of them are heavy jets, capable of undertaking long journeys without the need to refuel or stop. Let’s review all your options.

Turboprops

Turboprops are slower than other types of aircraft but are, in contrast, much lighter and provide a higher power output. They are extremely cost-effective and can develop cruising speeds of around 400 miles an hour.

Beechcraft King Air 360 sits at the top of the mountain as one of the most popular turboprops in the world. The design of the plane resembles the interior of modern, high-end SUVs, ensuring that anyone with a modicum of taste will be comfortable flying on it.

Light Jets

Woman in a private jet

Light jets, a bit faster on average than turboprops, are another viable option for shorter flights. They can, in most cases, sit anywhere between 4-8 people, and are often used for business travels.

As far as quality light jets go, one of the best in the world is most definitely the HondaJet HA-420. This small business jet can develop cruising speeds of 484 miles per hour and can cover 1,600 miles without the need to stop for refuel. It’s also extremely comfortable and luxurious, which you would expect from a plane with a price tag of around $5 million.

Midsize Jets

Bigger isn’t always better, unless we are talking about midsize jets. Where these types of aircraft excel is in their ability to cover long distances pretty fast. They can cover up to 4,000 miles without stopping, and can develop speeds of between 500-600 miles an hour.

As the best midsize jets in the world go, you can’t go wrong with Dassault Falcon 8X. Its ultra-modern cabin allows passengers to control many facets of their in-flight experience from the comfort of their seats. Did I mention it can develop cruising speeds of around 600 mph?

Heavy Jets

Heavy jets, synonyms with long-hauls, can, on average, cover about 6,000 miles without the need to stop for refuel. They are also pretty fast, being able to develop speeds between 500-600 miles per hour.

Gulfstream G800 is at the top of the mountain of heavy jets. It’s renowned for its luxury as well as its amazing safety profile. The only downside is that it can cost up to 80 million dollars.

Conclusion

Geneva, a place everyone has to visit, has become one of the most popular destinations for many different reasons. From its beautiful mountain ranges to the beautiful Grand Théâtre de Genève opera house, there are plenty of reasons why many people travel to this city.

And what better way is there to visit this magnificent city than by chartering a private jet?
